Isatou’s intersectional approach to grant writing draws from her expertise in fundraising, program management, community organizing, and advocacy within the social justice movement and international development sector in Africa and the U.S.
Originally from The Gambia, Isatou began her career in human rights advocacy and was recognized for advancing gender equality around the world by Women Deliver in 2016.
She holds dual M.A. degrees in Women’s and Gender Studies from the City University of New York Graduate Center and International Studies from National Chengchi University in Taiwan.

Alice McMillan is a well-rounded public service leader dedicated to helping people and organizations of all backgrounds work more synergistically to achieve the unthinkable. As the Founder & CEO of M&C Advisors, LLC, she currently supports a variety of leaders, organizations, and entities domestically and globally by providing a suite of services in the areas of: nonprofit & for-profit growth, organizational development, strategic expansion, fund development, capacity building, technical assistance, fractional leadership, coaching, systems level change, and career advancement services.
Previously, she has held a variety of executive leadership roles in the philanthropy and economic & community development sectors across the USA and beyond. Throughout her career, she has advised over 200 organizations, led over 100 community advancement projects that have generated more than $1 billion in economic impact and fund development, while also transforming the policies, laws, procedures, and entryways that govern our society. She also leads career readiness and leadership development efforts, working with individuals, search firms, organizations, and companies in tandem to create an ecosystem in which all of these groups have the resources that are required to procure job opportunities and talented people alike.
Alice also brings to this work her experience gained from living and studying in a variety of cities and countries across the USA and 4 continents, and her fluency in Spanish. She holds a BBA from the Sam M. Walton College of Business at University of Arkansas-Fayetteville and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill.

Mariah brings nearly ten years of experience in operational management, administrative leadership, and creative support. She specializes in building efficient systems, strengthening internal operations, and providing design and communications support that enhances visibility and organizational flow.
Before joining AmiKha Consulting, Mariah supported a wide range of service-based and mission-driven professionals, including nonprofit consultants, entrepreneurs, and small business owners. Her cross-sector experience allows her to adapt quickly, diagnose operational gaps, and create solutions that elevate both the client experience and organizational efficiency.

Sumaira Mian is a fundraising strategist, grant-writing consultant, and macro social worker dedicated to advancing social justice through an anti-oppression, community-centric approach. She approaches grant writing as a strategic systems challenge, focusing on how an organization’s strengths, values, and impact intersect with the funding landscape. At its core, her work centers on building authentic relationships, shifting power dynamics, and connecting resources with communities in ways that honor their expertise.
Sumaira brings over ten years of experience across grant writing, prospect research, individual giving, donor engagement, and overall fundraising strategy. Her background includes roles at Funding for Social Change and Womankind, and she currently serves as Director of Philanthropy at Learning Equality, where she leads individual giving, donor stewardship, and corporate strategy. Additionally, she evaluates grant proposals for grassroots nonprofits as a member of The Unfunded List’s Evaluation Committee.
Sumaira holds a B.A. in Biology and Religious Studies from Stony Brook University and an M.S.W. from Columbia University. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, contemplative walks, zen writing, gardening, and exploring new places.

Nuha Fariha is a queer South Asian writer and nonprofit consultant based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As the founder of her own consulting practice, Nuha Writes, she has helped raise over $6 million for BIPOC-led organizations across the United States. Her impressive fundraising portfolio spans federal, state, city, local, and private foundation grants.
Beyond her consulting work, Nuha is an accomplished author who holds an MFA in Nonfiction from Louisiana State University. She published her debut poetry collection, God Mornings Tiger Nights, through GameOver Books in 2023.
